Mimosa & # 39; s and dogs and second chances, oh my! The Humane Society of Greater Miami's 22nd annual Brunch for the Animals brought more than 340 animal lovers and their dogs together to the beautiful Fontainebleau to enjoy a delicious brunch to help the homeless animals in our community. With the help of Brooke Soffer, a great supporter and friend of the animals, and the fantastic presidents, Amy Zakarin and Isaac Rosenberg, Alan G. Randolph and Steven Rodriguez, and Angela and Louis Birdman, and event emcee, Louis Aguirre, the event has raised nearly $ 150,000 to help the abandoned animals in Miami who have no voice of their own. And this year, in honor of its 22nd birthday, the proceeds of the event went directly to the organizations Second Chance Fund, a fund that helps sick and injured animals, whose medical needs go beyond the standard care available through the clinics of the Humane Society and gives these dogs and cats a "second chance" in life. Several attendees promised $ 22 a month for a month in honor of the 22-year jubilee to benefit from the fund.

The sky was shining and the sun was shining at the right moment to start the wagging tail action in the iconic hotel. Upon arrival, attendees rounded their hairy BFFs around to meet and frolic other two- and four-legged guests. An exciting silent auction with a variety of high-value items, including fantastic hotel, restaurant and outing packages, tempted people to make their offer and helped to contribute to the amazing cause because all proceeds went directly to the special animal fund of the organization.

A five-star buffet covered the inside of the large white tent from front to back with an exquisite brunch kitchen. Doggies also received the star treatment because they enjoyed their own special brunch with four legs. Sips of champagne and cocktails helped celebrate the occasion thanks to the great sponsors Tito & # 39; s handmade vodka, JP Chenet Brut and Love Story Wines. For the third consecutive year, Tito & # 39; s, the vodka for sponsors of dog people, also brought the "Kissing Booth & # 39 ;," which conjured up great memories of people and their dogs to take home and forever. to cherish. Finally, the ever-expected lottery gave the donors five chances to win great prizes, including a private wine tasting for up to 20 people from Total Wine & More and tickets for an exclusive Yappie Hour at the SOBE Wine and Food Festival 2019. The adoption of two dear puppies from the Soffer and Fine Adoption Center were the icing on the cake to a perfect Brunch for the Animals!

A special thank you to the 2019 brunch for the animal sponsors who made the day a great success: Brooke Soffer, Edlen Electric, Fontainebleau, Gloria Estefan Foundation, JP Chenet Brut, Karla Conceptual Event Experiences, The Melted Scoop, Ocean Drive Magazine, Perry J.
